Axiom Epic Midi 125 Speakers

axiom-epic-midi-125-1.jpgProbably one of the most important parts of a home entertainment system is its speakers. I mean, it really doesn’t matter how good everything else is, if it sounds bad, who cares! But, after having a number of other sound systems, I am impressed with the Axiom Epic Midi 125.

Being small, I really was not sure what to expect. But when I had it all hooked up, and turned it on, I really got happy with the sound of this system. It was powerful, and much better than what I expected. It sounded like a much better, higher-priced system. I knew I had a good deal, though, because I got it for less. In thinking about it, I also liked the way it fit comfortably - without taking up a lot of room.

In order to get the best sound from the center channel, I mounted it below my TV. It is wedge-shaped so it readily angles to my viewing area. This unit uses the same size speakers as the other units so it can get exactly the same tonal sound for a perfect blend. . I put the bookshelf speakers on the wall, but they can also go on a stand.

The subwoofer, and I was glad that it had them, has spikes for the bottom of it. This should hold it in place when I put it on the carpet. If you need them, it also has anti-resonance feet for those bare floors. The subwoofer is very impressive, putting out lots of hard hitting bass and really filling in the bottom end nicely.

The sound that it put out was really great - I can only describe it as full, alive, clear, and even dynamic. When I tested it out with some nature scenes in some movies - the real test, I could feel myself drifting off into the scene. It really sounded like I was there - at the shore with the ocean waves pounding. And the rocket scene really made the bass come into play - it was nice. I could hear all the sound levels - all around me. Although I did not try it at the time, it made me think about one of those nature CD’s with the sound of brooks in it. I’m sure that it would put me to sleep quick if I laid on my recliner with my eyes closed.

Now that it’s all set up, and since these Axiom Epic Midi 125 speakers, are just right for this size room, I think I’ll go and enjoy some action packed movie. It was a lot of work putting it together now I think I’ll go and enjoy it.
