BOSE Lifestyle 48 Home Entertainment System

BOSE, the name same says it all, quality. When I was putting together my home theater I knew that I wanted the best sound available so my choice was simple, BOSE. When I went to the electronics store to listen to speakers I listened to some Polk audio, MTX, Sony and some other brands and BOSE was easily the best sounding of the bunch. I was amazed at the clarity and the sound coming from the little tiny speakers. It was really a no brainer picking the BOSE speakers, they sound absolutely amazing.

I wanted the best BOSE sells so I went with the BOSE lifestlye 48 home entertainment system. The BOSE lifestyle 48 home entertainment system includes five different speakers. It has four Jewel Cube speakers, these guys are only four and a half inches tall but they sound more like they are four and a half feet tall, the sound so amazing that they completely blow me away every time I sit down to watch a movie or listen to music. The BOSE system also includes horizontal center-channel speaker array, the center channel, this speaker sits right under my plasma TV and looks as good as it sounds. The final speaker is the Acoustimass module, the subwoofer, I place this module under a table and it’s completly out of site. The amount of bass that this puts out blows my mind, I think I need to make a dentist appointment to make sure my fillings aren’t rattling out of my head.

One feature that really amazed me about this system was something BOSE calls “The ADAPTiQ system”. The ADAPTiQ system analyzes the dimensions of your room and other components of your room that affect sound and then automatically adjust the system to your rooms acoustics. It is something you have to hear to believe, the results are spectacular.

Probably my favorite aspect of the BOSE Lifestyle system is the uMusic intelligent system. I had a large, cumbersome collection of CDs and I was able to digitally store the whole thing in the BOSE system. Not only that, the system learns what songs I like the most and listen to the most and automatically learns my preferences. It’s like magic and it work surprisingly well. The module can hold up to 340 hours of music, I haven’t even come close to filling it.

The system also includes a DVD player. The picture quality, in combination with my Plasma TV is phenomenal, the picture is just sharp and clear it’s amazing. I sometimes wonder if I am watching HDTV when I am watching DVDs. The DVD player plays all sorts of formats as well. DVD, CD’s, VCD’s, MP3 and pretty much anything you throw at it.

If you want the best sound your choice is easy, BOSE. This system amazes me every time I listen to it. The speakers are virtually invisible and when friends come over they are always blown away by the sound seemingly coming out of nowhere. I give the BOSE Lifestyle 48 Home Entertainment System my highest rating, it’s amazing.
